What is a doula?

A doula is a professionally trained support person who provides evidence based information, physical and emotional support for the family.

Are you certified?

Yes, LaToshia is certified with DONA International.

What other trainings have you taken?

The trainings taken are different for each doula. During the consultation, we will discuss the availability and specific experience of the doula.

How will hiring you affect my partner’s role during the birth?

We are here to support your whole family.  Most partners are at every appointment, they choose. His role is vital to having a great outcome and experience. We are all here to support the mom as a team.

When should a person hire a doula?

As soon as you know you are pregnant, we can start the journey together. It is the same price at 2 months as it is at 6 months.

Do you take payment plans?

Yes, we do accept payment plans. All plans need to be paid in full by 36 weeks.

Do you work with Tricare?

Yes. Tricare is now paying for doulas. Being a DONA certified doula means your services will be covered by Tricare if you select Birth Sisters Doula Services. Please set up a FREE Consultation to discuss further.
