Why Choose Birth Sisters...

Supported. Educated. Empowered.

Hi! Welcome to Birth Sisters Doula's page. I am LaToshia Rouse CD/PCD(DONA), SpBCPE as a wife of 20 years, a mother of a 14 year old and 11 year old triplets I have had many experiences in healthcare. My journey into this work started after the birth of my triplets. I had a deep desire to make the process easier for families who were having babies. I began connecting people with resources, education and tools to navigate their experience. It has been a great joy to support them.

Now as a doula, I offer substantial prenatal, labor, and postnatal support. My goal is to give you and your family the attention and support for the birth you want.

I am a DONA International certified birth and DONA International certified postpartum doula as well as a SMC Full Circle doula (Shafia Monroe) trained doula. I have also expanded my skillsets with modalities such as becoming a Spinning Babies Certified Parent Educator, herbal medicines for birth training, and LAMAZE Childbirth Educator training which promotes vaginal birth to name a few. As an experienced doula, I believe in continuing education and I study to improve my skill set continuously. I love working with expecting mothers and their families throughout the experience of bringing new life into this world via frequent check ins to ensure you have been optimally prepared for your birth and baby.
